Shipping from Aust to USA is now available again
The 11.5-inch is a shuttle that we have designed to fulfil a special request and now plan to continue making. The listings below are all open-bottom shuttles at present, however if someone requests a closed bottom version, we will be happy to make it. It will be 5mm taller. There may be some shuttles below that display heavy figure in the wood grain, and these are very desirable and don’t stay with us for long. Weavers seem to love pretty woods, and with us being woodworkers, we certainly understand why. These figured wood shuttles are one-of-a-kind and rare in their own rights, and as such they are priced accordingly.

Pre-tariff we embedded part of the shipping costs into our prices; now being post-tariff we have removed shipping from the product price to avoid paying unnecessary tariffs on the shipping portion of the price. We absorb 100% of the tariffs. Shipping costs are now separate and are now added at the checkout.

Just wanted to get back to you and let you know what a joy the shuttles are to use. Absolutely no diving! They’re nicely balanced and feel good in the hand without being too heavy or too bulky. And I like the extra effort you put into small details like making sure the entire bobbin well has been sanded to the same consistency so there are no rough patches (you’d be surprised how often this isn’t the case!).

They are both lovely shuttles!
I think that the 11.5 will be very nice for the narrower warps. Measuring them against the old one that I have, and I found that the 11.5 is about the same length (very slightly shorter .5 maybe, if that), but is a bit wider. The 13 is the same width as my old one, but slightly taller …
Forgot to add that they both seem to glide very nicely (10/10) on the old ashford table loom, that currently has a 19” wide cotton warp on it.
