Shipping from Aust to USA is now available
We have both open bottom and closed bottom boat shuttles in the 9 1/2-inch length available. This length shuttle is designed for rigid heddle looms, table looms, and small to medium shed length weaving projects.
The shuttles take a standard 100mm (4 inch) bobbin like the Ashford bobbins comfortably, with clearance for a small overfill of weft yarn before you chance a catch on the top of your shed.
We incorporate a magnetic locking system that allows the bobbin rod to always remain central to the bobbin pocket, vs the competitors side lock slot that requires you to compress the weft yarn sideways as you lock the bobbin rod into place. It is a bit more work and cost for us however we believe it to be a superior method.
Pre-tariff we embedded part of the shipping costs into our prices; now being post-tariff we have removed shipping from the product price to avoid paying unnecessary tariffs on the shipping portion of the price. We absorb 100% of the tariffs. Shipping costs are now separate and are now added at the checkout.

Just wanted to get back to you and let you know what a joy the shuttles are to use. Absolutely no diving! They’re nicely balanced and feel good in the hand without being too heavy or too bulky. And I like the extra effort you put into small details like making sure the entire bobbin well has been sanded to the same consistency so there are no rough patches (you’d be surprised how often this isn’t the case!).

They are both lovely shuttles!
I think that the 11.5 will be very nice for the narrower warps. Measuring them against the old one that I have, and I found that the 11.5 is about the same length (very slightly shorter .5 maybe, if that), but is a bit wider. The 13 is the same width as my old one, but slightly taller …
Forgot to add that they both seem to glide very nicely (10/10) on the old ashford table loom, that currently has a 19” wide cotton warp on it.
