These ski shuttles are our smallest version and come in at approximately 420mm or 16 1/2 inches.
The base plates are hand formed using classic steam bending techniques and are made from silkwood maple. This is a wonderful wood to work with and can have some incredible grain figure on rare occasions.
The vertical blade that you wrap your weft yarn around is made with jacaranda. This is an uncommon wood to work with and has lovely subtle grain patterns. The contrasting wood tones set these shuttles apart from the ordinary.
