These closed bottom shuttles are made with New Guinea Rosewood, a fast-growing native from the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Southeast Asia. This particular batch of wood came out of Brisbane, Qld. A furniture outfit closed down, and we purchased the wood from them. The wood has some figure and a nice flash of color change as you move it in the light.
The shuttles take 100mm bobbins (not included in sale). This sized shuttle is designed for rigid heddle and table looms, and all brands of the same.
