Every now and then we come across some wood that has strong figure within the grain, and you know it is truly special. This is one of those times. We have a small quantity of figured Silkwood Maple that we have earmarked for boat shuttles, and this closed bottom shuttle is #1 of two of them.
The shape is a modified version of our standard shuttle and came to be through some valued input from a leading Australian weaver/teacher.
