About This Timber.
Queensland maple was the second timber on the list of most-sought-after woods in the north Queensland timber industry, only being behind the Red Cedar. The wood has been used in many Qld Gov buildings and paneling and furniture. It is now used in the necks of acoustic guitars as the wood is strong and stable. It can have some spectacular grain figure and features making it a valuable and collectable wood.
