Ski Shuttle, 24.5 Inch, Silkwood Maple base, Fishtail Oak Blade

These ski shuttles are handcrafted by us from local Australian hardwoods found in far north Queensland. The vertical blade is made with fishtail oak and this is a very rare wood.
The curved tips on the base plate have been formed using a traditional craftsmanship method called steam bending, where the wood is softened using heat and moisture. This allows us to gently bend the wood and once it cools, the wood remains in the new shape.

The width of the base plate is 45mm or 1 3/4 inches.
The length is 620-625mm or 24.5 inches.
The height is 35mm or 1 3/8 inches.
These ski shuttles are quite light at 212-217 grams.
Finished with hard wearing polyurethane, and very smooth.
